TOP 6 TRENDS FROM BASELWORLD 2016
In the 99th year of Baselworld, we came away less impressed than last year, despite there being 4,400 media reps and 145,000 participants. It seems that the brands are making 2016 the year of caution, with limited releases, innovations and flamboyance. Maybe this will help them “wait and watch” (no pun intended) until the luxury world is ready to explore new frontiers. Louis Vuitton was missing from the fair, and while the usual suspects held fort and rallied, they lacked the lustre of the previous years.
